Access Permissions

Access permissions specify a list of users who are granted or denied access to COM applications. The machine-wide access permissions apply to all COM applications that do not specify their own access permissions.

Using the Component Services administrative tool, you can add to or remove user accounts or groups from the list of users having access permissions. This does not affect COM+ applications.
